Christmas Lighting Ceremony and Launching Ceremony for the "1 Dollar Foundation Project for the Chinese White Dolphin” at Seaview Resort, Xiamen 
The Seaview Resort Xiamen marked the beginning of its Christmas and New Year’s celebrations on 5th of December with the lighting of an 18meter-high Christmas tree. The lighting ceremony was hold at the fountain garden outside the resort's lobby at 6pm. Those who attended the ceremony were government officers from the Oceanic and Fishery Bureau of Xiamen, hotel management, guests of the hotel, and members of the Seaview Resort Club as well as the media. Everyone present at the ceremony wore a small dolphin pin upon arrival. The ceremony began with a choir singing Christmas carols. The most special activity at the ceremony is that the lighting of the Christmas tree also marked the launching ceremony for the "1 Dollar Foundation Project for the Chinese White Dolphin”, a charity conducted by the hotel in order to protect the Chinese White Dolphins. Hotel guests who want to join the project may pay 1 US Dollar more to room account to take away the dolphin pin in rooms，then the hotel will donate this 1 US dollar to the Chinese White Dolphin Protection Foundation. It's a long-term commonwealth activity held by the Seaview Resort to call on more people with the love the earth, concerned about the environment, the return the community of nations. After the launch ceremony, there was a Santa Claus driving a Christmas vehicle carrying 3 beautiful girls into the resort. The girls went into the crowd and give an electric violin performance to celebrate the coming Christmas season.
